Creating memes is all in a day's work for crypto degenerates — so why not get paid for it?

A “top crypto brand” is looking to hire a meme and content creator, according to Sam Wellalage, an expert recruiter in the industry.

Vellale says these companies, whose founders are generally very young, want to target decentralized finance consumers.

These memes “speak directly to the young DeFi community,” Vellale says.

“This is how they hype up the company,” he said.

As these companies grow and their management begins to bring in older, more experienced people, they better understand the value of maintaining a brand's image, Vellalay said.

Social media managers are a standard hire for any brand, but Vellale says meme creators are more specialized.

The job requires an active, creative thinker who can come up with endless ideas and work closely with designers and video editors to bring them to life.

“We prioritize creativity. It's probably a very young person who says, 'Oh, let's do this.' That's what we're after,” he said.
