Despite sparking a bit of controversy with its strange debut, GOAT memecoin continues to grow.

This AI-based hype has also moved venture capitalist Marc Andreessen, who previously donated $50,000 in bitcoin to website design consultant Andy Airey, creator of Terminal of Truths, for independent AI research.

Andreessen, eager to distance himself, made it clear that he had nothing to do with the token. But by then, GOAT had already gained considerable traction on social media.
The GOAT token was born from the goatse meme, an infamous image from the early 2000s known for depicting a man in an unusually compromised position.
Its viral appeal comes from its shock value and has grown among those in edgy internet culture.

Now, instead of pranking each other with shocking images, the ultimate online traders, called degens, are pushing memecoins like GOAT to market caps in the hundreds of millions of dollars.
